Ready to roll up your sleeves and cook like a Tuscan?

 

Our IN TOWN day class is a perfect way to spend part of your vacation. We are located in the historic center, no car needed. No worries about finding parking (or having that next glass of terrific Chianti). 

 

Your morning begins with a market tour to some of Lucca's specialty purveyors of local produce, bread bakers, gourmet foods, the oldest dried good merchant in Lucca, maybe even a wine shop. The days menu will take us where we need to go.  Along the way you will learn about, and sample some of the regions delicacies while we do our "from the farm fresh" shopping. Then it's back to the 18th century palace, just a short walk from the shopping district. 

 

We will don our aprons, and armed with a prosecco or a Nespresso (your choice) begin to tackle the menu. Chef Giuseppe chooses offerings relating to the seasons of Tuscany, so menus will vary by time of year, but always include one starter, a main or pasta course, a dessert, wine from the region.  (We are happy to cater to dietary restrictions when notified in advance. ) Classes are hands on. 

 

At the end of the instruction and preparation, we will sit down to an authentic  meal around a table with newly made friends and savor the days creations.

 

 

 

  

 

 

Our spacious kitchen and prep area is fully air conditioned, and designed with both elegance and modern convenience in mind. It is a comfortable venue, also allowing you a peek inside an authentic Tuscan "palazzo" with high vaulted and chestnut beamed ceilings and marble and antique wood floors.

 

In addition to Giuseppes in depth class and instruction, each participant will receive a certificate of accomplishment and a custom EXTRA VIRGIN COOKING SCHOOL apron and recipe book to take home. 

 

We truly believe that this will be one of your most memorable days in Tuscany. There is nothing more organic and convivial than cooking with friends, and sitting down to the bounty of the Tuscan region - prepared by you!  We hope that the recipes and techniques that you experience with us will bring you memories - and good meals at home - for many years to come!

* Note a minimum of 4 students is required for a class. Should less than 4 persons for any class arise, we reserve the right to cancel and provide a full and prompt refund.
